Voltarol’s formula contains a superpotent ingredient – diclofenac potassium that belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). NSAIDs are effective pain killers and used to reduce inflammation. Diclofenac is aimed to suppress pain and inflammation of musculoskeletal conditions that may involve different forms of arthritis, podagra, sprains, fractures, dislocations, tendon inflammations, painful stiffness in a shoulder joint (adhesive capsulitis). Symptoms of dysmenorrhea can also be treated by taking this medication. Chiefly Voltarol is suitable to reduce sudden pain attacks and inflammation.
Directions
Voltarol is taken orally with a glass of water. It is possible to take it with or without food. This medication is not cut, crushed or chewed while taking. Avoid taking it longer than it is prescribed. You need to consult your doctor regarding the appropriate dosage schedule. Do not give up taking the medication unless it is permitted by your doctor. There is a certain amount of time needed for the medication to help.
Precautions

Voltarol is not taken by patients displaying the hypersensitivity to one of the components of this drug or in case patients have sodium sensitive hypertension.

Severe side effects are not expected to happen. The most regular side effects involve sleep disorders (insomnia), xerostomia, excitability, acrimony, sedation, suppression of urine. Storage
This medicine is stored at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from light, heat, moisture. Avoid storing the drug in the bathroom. Keep all drugs away from reach of children and pets.
