Viagra Jelly (Sildenafil Citrate)

General information

Commonly the medicine is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil Citrate affects the response to sexual stimulation. Using a chemical called nitric oxide it enhances smooth muscle relaxation which allows increase blood flow into your penis to achieve and maintain erection.

Directions

Take Viagra Jelly one time per day. It is recommended not to exceed a single dose of 25 mg for patients who take certain protease inhibitors in a 48-hour period.

Precautions

You should tell your doctor about all the medicines you use for erectile dysfunction and the listed below: bosentan (Tracleer); a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin); cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB); an antibiotic such as erythromycin (E-Mycin, Eryc, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin); doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), Terazosin (Hytrin); HIV medicines such as amprenavir (Agenerase), tipranavir (Aptivus), darunavir (Prezista), efavirenz (Sustiva), nevirapine (Viramune), indinavir (Crixivan), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), ritonavir (Norvir), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir (Viracept); an antifungal medication such as itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral); carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital (Luminal), or phenytoin (Dilantin); or rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane) or rifabutin (Mycobutin). If you have heart problems severe enough to make sexual activity dangerous, you should avoid using Viagra. Use it cautiously, if you've had a heart attack, stroke, or life-threatening heart irregularities within the past 6 months. Be careful if you have severe high or low blood pressure, heart failure or unstable angina.

Contraindications

Viagra Jelly should not be used with other treatments that cause erection or nitrates.

Possible side effect

The frequent side effects are warmth or redness in your face, neck, or chest; stuffy nose; upset stomach; headache; back pain. You should look for medical help if one of the following serious side effects occurs: chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling; shortness of breath; feeling light-headed, fainting; vision changes; irregular heartbeat; penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer.

Drug interaction

This drug should not be used with nitrates and recreational drugs containing amyl or butyl nitrite; alpha-blocker medications; other medications for impotence; high blood pressure medicines, etc.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Overdose

If you think you have overdosed the medicine seek emergency medical help at once. The overdose symptoms are chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and feeling light-headed or fainting.

Storage

Viagra Jelly should be stored at room temperature, 15-30 degrees C (59-86 degrees F).
