General information
Voveran contains a superpotent ingredient called diclofenac potassium that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). Diclofenac is an effective pain killer used to reduce inflammation. Diclofenac is aimed to suppress pain and inflammatory disorder of musculoskeletal complaints such as different forms of arthritis, podagra, sprains, fractures, dislocations, tendon inflammations, painful stiffness in a shoulder joint (adhesive capsulitis). It can be used in the treatment of acute migraines. It is also commonly used to moderate post-operative or post-traumatic pain and is effective against menstrual pain, endometriosis, dysmenorrhea and sudden pain attacks.
Directions
Voveran is taken orally with a glass of water. It is possible to take it with or without food. This medication is not cut, crushed or chewed while taking. Avoid taking it longer than it is prescribed. You need to consult your doctor regarding the appropriate dosage schedule. Do not give up taking the medication unless it is permitted by your doctor. There is a certain amount of time needed for the medication to help.
Precautions
To make sure you can safely take Voveran notify your doctor or pharmacist in case you are hypersensitive to it, have other allergies, suffer from liver or kidney diseases, have hypertension or Parkinson’s disease, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid consuming alcohol or smoking as it may interact with Voveran. This drug can impair your alertness and ability to concentrate, so be careful while driving or with doing anything that requires you to be alert and attentive. Aged patients are more inclined to suffer from potential side effects while taking this medication. If you take Voveran habitually and longer than prescribed it can result in hearts disease. Voveran may also cause stomach and duodenum ulcers. It can suppress the excretion of sodium and lithium in your organism. Using lithium supplements must be agreed with your doctor only.
Contraindications
Voveran is not taken by patients displaying the hypersensitivity to one of the components of this drug or in case patients have sodium sensitive hypertension.
Possible side effect
Severe side effects are not expected to be produced. The most regular side effects involve sleep disorders (insomnia), xerostomia, excitability, acrimony, sedation, suppression of urine. Serious allergic reactions are not likely to occur. You have to consult your doctor or chemist health care provider for more information. If you suffer from side effects that are not stated in this list immediately notify your doctor.
Drug interactions
In case you are not confident whether this medicinal product is compatible with other medicines or supplements, discuss it with your doctor or pharmacist. It is not advisable to combine the usage of this product with other drugs of similar class without your doctor’s permission as it may result in a serious aggravation. In general, Voveran is able to interact with a group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that contain salicylate (aspirin); with blood thinners used to treat and prevent thrombosis (warfarin).
Missed dose
If you have missed your dose, take it as soon as possible. In case it is near the time for the next dose, avoid taking the missed dose and keep your ordinary dosing schedule. Avoid compensating a missed dose by taking an extra one.
Overdose
If you think you overdosed the medicine, immediately contact your local poison center and notify your doctor or pharmacist. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. You may need urgent medical attention. Most regular symptoms of overdose include: nausea, chest pain, sickness, palpitations, vertigo, fainting.
Storage
This medication should be stored at room temperature between 68-77 F (20-25 degrees C) away from sources of light, heat and moisture. Avoid storing it in the bathroom. Keep all drugs away from reach of children and pets.
